Dental Appliances
Working both in-house and with external labs, we can make a number of dental appliances, including dentures and partials, occlusal guards (which you might know as night guards), and plastic retainers. You can come in any time for a consultation to discuss an appliance you may need, or enquire about one when you are here for your cleaning.
Dentures and Partials
When you are missing many or even all of the teeth on one jaw, a full or partial denture can replace them. A denture is a removable appliance that stays in place with shaping and suction. If you have some teeth still in place, a partial denture can leave room for those whilst filling the gaps between them.
Occlusal Guards
A night guard (or occlusal guard) can bring relief to patients who clench or grind their teeth at night. If you find yourself waking with a stiff or sore jaw, or if your hygienist notices signs of grinding, a night guard can protect you from these unconscious behaviors. We make and adjust these in-house, and can generally deliver them within a few days.
Replacement Retainers
We make plastic retainers in-house. If you already have your models, you can bring them in and we can make a replacement based on those. Otherwise, you can come in for a scan and we will construct models from which to create those retainers. Generally we will send you home with the models so you have them if you need them again!
